If you have Garage Band, Logic Express, or Logic, you may have already been fooling around with some of the great effects available to you. But if you are at all like I was a couple of years back, you would rather spend your rare free time playing instead of trying to program a zillion effects to get the right sound for Purple Haze, or Message in a Bottle, or Limelight, and so many others. Well, the solution that I found was Tone Heaven!
Metaphorically and literally. Check out Tone Heaven Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 at macsongtools.com! For just $20 you get 450 new settings that match all of those songs that you can sorta remember how to play. I bought both of them a couple of years ago, and they remain my “go to” sounds on the Mac. They also have products for synth players, an ES-2 expander, and Session Drums. I don’t know as much about these but I will look into them for a future post.
